I was going to give you more than one link in the post, but then wondered if people would see it and discredit my post as somehow my shilling for you (which I wasn’t… just happened to shout rah rah when you posted the Ospama post… and proud to say I buzzed you on it too).
I totally see the whole “drink the koolaid” thing happening. I believe he’s a scary man. I also have some issues with Palin, though I defended her earlier. Gads. This time you folks are like us… all dressed up and no one to vote for.

I’d made up my mind to hate this post, but I have to admit that it makes sense.
I think both the candidates are assholes for lying to us and we are assholes for not demanding the truth. Why can’t they just say, “Look, the economy is screwed. We’re not going to be able to give any tax cuts next year”? That would cost them the election because we can’t handle the truth.

I got a good laugh at this. I have made comments on my site AND hers about how her attack on Palin AND family was vicious and at times “low”. I don’t agree with making personal attacks on someone just because you disagree with their politics, but you DID point out some actions Obama did that ARE pretty disgusting.. (photo op on his anniversary, ect… )
*I* think you should post this on her blog and give her the “what for”… I’ll warn you though, if the moderator of her site doesn’t LIKE what you say, they do some “creative editing” or just delete your comments. (happened to me) IF you “call them on it”, they put it back though…

I am a political agnostic at this point. Working in Washington DC ruined me so badly I left the country. Then I came back. And moved to Washginton DC. And the anti-politician sentinment started all over again…

But Auntie Fracas, here’s a question – What if Obama’s wife supported the idea of using the anniversary to display the solidity of their marriage and family? I think the American public put an incredible amount of pressure on their candidates to present nothing short of a perfect family life and a past free of any flaws, which is something no person can really lay claim to…. so to a large degree, both candidates are being asked to play a part for their country’s citizens.
(in personal opinion, I still believe Obama is the best chance America currently has to change some terrible choices their country has made over the last 8 years…)

I don’t agree that it’s the American public who wants that perfect family thing so much as the parties want people to think that about their candidate. After all, the Clintons were the epitome of the not-happy-and-perfect family (otherwise he’d not have been fraccing around with a bimbo in a blue dress and she’d not have looked the other way while he did it) and the American public still loves him.
However, you are right. There is no such family who can lay claim to that. I’ve been saying that forever. You must take after some smart (or smartie pants) auntie.
I don’t agree about Obama. I think people are (understandably) upset about choices that have been made, but McCain is not George Bush and if push comes to shove… even Obama has been criticized for agreeing with Bush. That’s not the picture being painted of him now though.
One needs to remember that McCain chose to endure torture as a POW rather than go against his country, even though many in those shoes will state the propaganda to get home alive and speak out against it later. He did not. I think you can’t ask someone to have more character and love for the good of their country than that. People aren’t giving that the weight it deserves. If he chose to risk his life before speaking ill of his country, why would he not do the best for it now?
Obama has been held up as a messiah for reasons that have nothing to do with what’s best for the country. People should not allow themselves to be led the way they are being led.
Neither Obama, nor Biden have the character references McCain has… even added up together. People shouldn’t allow a hate for Bush to prevent them from voting for McCain any more than people looking in on our family should lump myself (or your mom or a couple of your other aunties) into the same character boat as my father.
In other words, no matter how much people want to make McCain into Bush… he is not. If Obama is elected, I predict the USA will be sorry… and I loooooove being able to do that “I told it so” thing.
It’s really no different than what Jack Layton and the NDP try to do here… demonize the competition and paint himself as the saviour. It didn’t work. Thank God. Getting out from under socialistic mentality in SK has been hard enough; we sure don’t need to make that mistake as a country. Neither does the USA.

All I have to say is that I agree – Undoubtedly Mcain will of course do whatever he thinks is best for his great country – my issue is with what he thinks is best….
Fracas: I can’t stand the majority of Korean food NOR Kim Jong Il … I wonder what the makes me??
But, wait … I also won’t eat a venison round steak with sides of french-style green beans and canned corn, either… Damn, I must hate white people, too!

Jen – I guess you just aren’t old enough to have experienced the full “joys” of living under a socialistic government yet, you’re still young, wide-eyed and hopeful when those darn socialists woo you with their offers of how they’re going to save the world, take care of you and how no one will ever suffer again… Heck. If you believe them, they’ll have you believing their poo doesn’t even smell like everyone else’s, and that they don’t want to be Jesus because they’re even better than Jesus.
Coming back here wouldn’t give you that either… since we’ve finally turfed those assholes, so I guess maybe your next move should be to the US… should Obama win. ROFL. I’ll let you have at that for a few years (4, since they’ll throw him out once they realize how what they thought they were electing really was something else) and then ask you about this again.

Isn’t it unbelievable what a double standard there is? The media and people trash people like Palin, but it is considered negative to point out anything wrong with BO. I think he STINKS.
I know. The recent bits about Palin (the prank phone call and the Africa thing) are another example. Earlier, in a well-reported speech, Obama referred to Canada as having a President. He’s also referred to having visited all ‘57′ states. So is he stupid too? Oh no… for him it must be just some slip-up that doesn’t matter.

My friends call me Al and yes I am an AMERICAN born Arab. My father is an AMERICAN born Arab. Being a business man I can only say that Barack Hussein Obama will be bad for AMERICA. His socialistic fundalmentalist views coincide with that of the Ayatholla Khomeini (being for the people). Hell, for that matter Adolf Hitler started the same way. My grandparents came to this country in the early 1920’s.
My father would tell me stories they shared with him about tyranny and oppression in the old country. Will the same stories be told to my children? As AMERICANS we have the power to change all this come next election. GOD BLESS AMERICA….BTW I was raised Lutheran and attended Lutheran schools. JD in Law from University of Michigan.
