A Florida grand jury indicted the mother of missing Florida toddler Caylee Anthony on murder charges.
The toddler was last seen in mid-June, two months before her third birthday. Police believe Caylee is dead, and said they’ve found evidence of a decomposing body they think belongs to the child in the trunk of the Pontiac.
Casey Anthony, 22, is charged with first-degree murder. The grand jury issued the sealed indictment Tuesday afternoon, but the name of the suspect wasn’t initially disclosed.
Anthony had been waiting more than a dozen miles away and was prepared to turn herself in, according to her attorney Jose Baez.
She was recently formally named a suspect in her little girl’s disappearance.
