Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar of Tonitown, Ark., who have 18 children and one grandchild on the way, are expecting a new addition to their household – baby No. 19 will arrive in the spring.
“We are so thrilled,” says Michelle, 42. “We just couldn’t believe it is happening.” Jim Bob, 44, agrees: “This never gets old. We are so grateful for each child. We are looking forward to our first grand baby and our 19th child.”
All 18 Duggar children have names that start with the letter ‘J’. Speculation about whether or not there are any ‘J’ names left has run rampant online. So far they are:

In large families, the older children tend to take on parenting roles to pick up where the parents leave off. I have lots of opinions about that, as do I’m sure you.
But let’s not make this about what I think… what do you think about people having this many children?

Are there any good ‘J’ names left? What do you think they should name their 19th child?
The Duggers believe in having as many children as the Lord will bless them with, it is a step of faith, they also believe the Lord will provide. They have an income that pays their living exspenses and do not take any government assistance. Their kids are educated, know how to share, take care of each other, work hard and play together. I would say they are doing better than 80% of the American population who raise spoiled, self centered, lazy children who are given too much and do not know how to be responsible. I say, I applaude you, the Dugger family, and they could name their 19th child Jared(boy) or Jemima(girl)

How about “Just Stop” Duggar. Good grief, don’t they know what’s causing them. Their litter production line is disgraceful. This is a world of shrinking resources and the Duggars are taking more than their share. Their decision to have more kids is selfish.
how about jack-ass seriously these people must be stopped these people must be stopped the earth is already over-populated as it is ,if you love your children don’t have so many these 18 kids and all the rest of them are already facing an uncertain future as it is .war.famine.water shortage,pestilence disease ,some of these things are already here and many children of the not-to-distant future will experience the full wrath of over-population,and these people call themselves Christians I am appalled by their lack of conscious.and there lack of love for the planet and all of it’s inhabitants .This planet was given to us by god ,but not to rape it,these people and those that have to many kids are sick.

Congratulations! You are a delight to watch on TLC. What a Beautiful Family. You make the world a better place just by sharing your lives with us. Such a good example of what FAMILY is all about. Working together to show the Love of God to all of us around the World. You all seem to really appreciate one another and show such respect for one other. If all families could do what you all do, the world would be a better place. If it’s a girl Jewel would be a nice name. If it’s a boy how about Jimmy? Just thought I’d throw my two cents in…lol. I don’t know what their financial status was before they were offered the TLC show, but there can be no doubt that, like the Gosselins… the show has afforded them what they’d not have had before.
I do wonder how much of the childrens’ real emotional state viewers are allowed to see… and I do believe that it would be nearly impossible for any set of parents to have enough time and emotional support to provide for that many childrens’ needs.
Having said that though… it’s not my belief that anyone has a right to tell them not to have those children. Some people (for their own reasons) have only two or three children and can’t provide them with enough time and emotional support either; we don’t tell them not to have children.
I just hope they are all truly getting what they need and as happy as the world is let on to believe.

Y’know, they get their clothes from Goodwill, and pass hand-me downs through the kids. Therefore they’re reducing their use of natural resources by not contributing to shipping costs for new clothes, nor are they contributing to the slave labor issues in China and the rest of Asia. They have a garden where they grow produce, cutting down on shipping and illegal immigrants for much of their food. Having the garden teaches the children self sufficiency. The older children help with the younger, teaching them responsibility. I don’t see any of this as a bad thing. As a family, they built their house, relying on outsiders only for the complicated stuff like wiring and plumbing. They teach the kids music, and cooking, and cleaning…and this is a problem *how*, exactly? Just because you might not want to do it, Sea, and Robin VA, doesn’t mean they’re doing it wrong.
i think we should be more vigilant against Child Labor. child labor have an increasing trend these days specially in third world countries.
