URL Shorteners Galore

If you twitter, or just have a need to shorten up your url’s when posting them online, you probably want to use a url shortener service. You don’t have to pay, or download anything, and for the most part, you don’t even have to sign up or log in unless you want an account to track your url’s. No, all you have to do is plug in a url and click… and you’ll receive a shortened url to save precious characters when you tweet.

Below, in no particular order is a list of helpful choices for you:

  1. bit.ly
  2. TinyURL
  3. Doiop
  4. ReadThisURL
  5. memURL
  6. dwarfURL
  7. tr.im
  8. cli.gs
  9. Short.ie
  10. kl.am
  11. Idek.net
  12. is.gd
  13. Hex.io
  14. ow.ly
  15. 3.ly
  16. a.gd
  17. r.im
  18. u.nu
  19. x.vu
  20. z.pe
  21. tinyarro.ws

And the bonus fabby fraccy tool is untiny.me which will show you the original, unshortened link if you plug in the shortened one. A great tool for when you want to know where that link will send you before you go there!

[This is a mirror post from over at the just fracas blog. I can do that, since just fracas is mine too. You though... you'd best stick to linking and quoting, both of which are highly encouraged and most appreciated!]
