Fracas is astounded at the things Pat Robertson has been saying about the earthquake in Haiti, and because fracas usually likes to figure out why people do the things they do, here’s what I’ve brainstormed.
- Suggesting this earthquake is some punishment from God is a pretty brainless comment.
- Pat Robertson must have no (or a reduced amount of) brains.
- Something happened to his brains, what?
- Everyone knows that zombies love to eat brains.
- People (even zombie people) tend to prefer to eat what is tasty to them.
- Zombies must have eaten Pat Robertson’s brains.
- Pat Robertson’s brains must be tasty.
I rest my case.

CNN’s list is here: http://edition.cnn.com/SPECIALS/2007/impact/
Another group I learned of via twitter, has already been involved in projects in Haiti and so already has people on the ground there. They are:

And please, do your part to stop comments like Robertson’s in their tracks. Perhaps a tragedy will strike Robertson’s own family some day, and then he’ll have to ask himself what he did that meant God was punishing him?
Merci!

For the life of me I can’t recall whether he endorsed or branded “Left Behind”.
Either way, I feel confident both would have ended up in plugs for his recent book.
Whichever it is.
I bet L. Ron Hubbard studied his business model.
…I should publish.
Sure John, show up here flinging bad words like “Left Behind” and “L. Ron Hubbard”. What did I ever do to you to make you want to sully up my blog that way?
:chuckles…:
I ‘did’ enjoy Battlefield Earth.
I find it VERY hard to believe that Pat Robertson’s brains were tasty.
I’m certain the zombies gorged themselves then threw them up. Even zombies have taste.
I have to argue that one. See… the less used something is, the more tasty it usually is. Baby veggies, people think veal is better than beef and lamb better than mutton, so it stands to reason that since his brains haven’t been used all that much, they must be tastier than say… yours or mine.
It’s just logic.
That aside, you might have been getting the idea (of a bad taste) because John has sullied up the atmosphere here with talk of “L. Ron Hubbard”. That can really leave a bad taste in a person’s mouth.
(At least he didn’t mention anyone whose name rhymes with ‘lose’.. I’d have to call in help to clean up after that!)
He certainly isn’t helping out the “Intelligent Design” argument.
Imagine that. A corned beef sandwich is more intelligent than Robertson.
You’d be surprised at how many people are not smarter than corned beef.
No, I really wouldn’t be all that surprised, I can see my spam bin.
I think if the zombies tried to eat Robertson’s brains, that it is likely the zombies are starving right now.
Oh, very good point.
Perhaps they had to settle for an ‘appetizer’ size meal?
