Some fraccers are good and some fraccers are bad, so we’re none too sad that the Sheriff happens to love hanging out at Ye Olde Saloon & Fraccery.

Now, I know what you’re thinking. Fraccers is owned by a Canadian… why would a Sheriff spend his time knocking his heels about the bar and spittoons here instead of, oh… say, an officer of the North West Mounted Police?

Well… if you’re really interested, you can read all about the history of the North West Mounted Police (later to become the Royal Canadian Mounted Police) but in the grand scheme of things here at the Fraccery… it’s really quite simple.

‘North West Mounted Police’ would take up way too much room on the menu board, and anyway…

Sheriffs are defined under Section 2 of the Criminal Code of Canada as “peace officers”. Various jurisdictions in Canada on provincial and sub-provincial levels, operate sheriff’s departments primarily concerned with court bailiff services such as courtroom security, post-arrest prisoner transfer, serving legal processes, and executing civil judgments.

… so just humour me a bit here. After all, you’ve already resigned yourself to being sucked into my role-playing game by thinking of this website as a saloon; is it that much of a stretch to just go with the whole ‘Sheriff’ bit? I think not.

So…

If you’ve come across a bad fraccer who’s done you wrong and you want to report him/her… you’ll be needing to first leave a ‘report’ at the

Sheriff’s Office

If you’re looking for a list of folks who’ve been ‘convicted’ of nefarious activity, then you’ll be interested in the

Jail

(Sheriff’s Office and Jail to open soon; just waiting on the ‘iron horse’ to bring him on over…)
